Artemis hits 3,000km!

3,000km!

A small milestone; my mountain bike (2008 Opus Artemis) just passed the 3,000km mark during the ride home tonight.

It really puts the upcoming ride into perspective. That's pretty much the length of Ontario!

Flu, winter, and other joys of the season

Still waiting for my bike to come in. I've ordered an Opus 2012 Largo for my upcoming tour. I expect it to be here in a week or two, then I can really get this blog going.

In the meantime I'm trying my best to keep up training thru riding to work which gets me about 10km in wintery conditions, as well as 1hr of stationary biking and 20min of running at the gym. A recent flu has knocked me out of my routine but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things.

This is the end... no wait this is the absolute beginning! This will be my tiny little corner of the internet where you can follow my progress as I prepare and eventually execute my cross Canada bicycle tour.
